Winter weekend & holiday parking reservations are no longer required for the remainder of the 2023-24 winter season.
Our parking program for 2024-2025
Palisades Tahoe will continue with free and paid parking reservations for the 2024-2025 season. We expect the program to remain largely the same as this season but are committed to refining where possible to reduce friction points in the process. Stay tuned to our channels for the latest updates for the 2024-2025 winter season.
2023-2024 parking program
In an effort to mitigate traffic on regional roadways during peak times, Palisades Tahoe implemented a new reservation-based parking system for the 2023-2024 winter season. On weekends and holiday periods, parking reservations were required for ALL parking lots.

The vast majority of spots that require a reservation are FREE.

FREE parking reservations for the coming weekend open every Tuesday. To accommodate different life schedules, 50% of inventory is released at 12pm and 50% at 7pm.

For those who want to reserve well in advance, paid spots will be available for $30. For example, if you want to reserve a spot for Christmas, you can choose a paid reservation when inventory goes live. Otherwise, you can book a free reservation on the Tuesday prior to your visit.

We’ll continue to have dedicated close in carpool spots for those that are traveling with 3+ and encourage you to reserve with friends and family in advance. Reservations will still be required for the vehicle.

FREE MIDWEEK PARKING

On Monday through Friday, parking is free at both Palisades and Alpine.

You can just show up on Monday through Friday. Parking will be first come, first served.

Reservations are NOT required midweek, with the exception of some holiday blackout dates.
FREE RESERVED PARKING
On Saturdays, Sundays & Select Holidays

On Saturdays, Sundays, and select holidays, reservations are required.

FREE parking reservations for the coming weekend will open every Tuesday.

On each Tuesday, inventory for the coming weekend will be released at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Parking is free with no reservations required on Monday-Friday, with some holiday blackout dates.
ADVANCED PAID RESERVATIONS

This is the best option for guests who need to reserve Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays WELL IN ADVANCE.

Paid reservations are $30 per spot, per day.

For example, if you want to ensure a spot for Christmas, you can choose a paid reservation advance when they open in October. Otherwise, you can book a free reservation on the Tuesday beforehand.
DON'T HAVE A RESERVE 'N SKI PARKING RESERVATION?
If you do not have a reservation, we do not have a space for you. However, you can try the following options:

Take public transportation such as TART, TART Connect and Mountaineer for those who are staying in Olympic Valley or Alpine Meadows

Ride a ski bus that departs from Sacramento and the Bay Area

Drop off friends or family at designated drop off areas

Carpool with a friend who already has a reservation

Sherwood Shuttle for those who are staying or live near the West Shore
